OPEN. The Online Procurement for Educational Needs (OPEN) marketplace has been specifically designed for schools to make the hassle of buying goods and services quicker, easier and simpler. The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) feel that this will offer real choice and collaborative buying potential to schools.
The first version of OPEN is currently being trialled with up to 1,150 schools ironing out the wrinkles and gathering valuable, real-time feed back. This will help find out what works, what’s useful and what can be removed, to make this a simple and effective tool for schools to use. It is planned to make OPEN available to all schools in England from Spring 2008.
This system offers schools a real opportunity to generate short and long term savings.
Many of Profiles product ranges are available through your local or preferred supplier, however, as a nominated supplier Profile are also happy to support Governement savings targets by promoting the purchase of its products through this marketplace.

- Click on Catalogues
- Select 'supplier' in the drop down menu
- Type 'Profile' in the text box underneath
